Things look quiet in the camp at the moment but that is deceptive – there are lots of actions happening in the background, and we hope you can join us at some stage soon.

– Pick My Project. TVW was awarded $200,000 to build the village accommodation and ablution blocks for our future residents. The first requirement TVW must meet before receiving any money is to attend a workshop with key project stakeholders (Nexus and Mitchell Shire Council) to begin developing partnership relationships and work schedules, accountability processes, etc.

– Village site. TVW is waiting for official confirmation of a site in the area, currently managed by the Council. We hope to hear something definite in the next three weeks

– Workshops.  TVW is hosting a Grassroots Governance session on 21st November (SEE ‘events’ on our Facebook page).
Strong and legally correct governance is a priority for TVW committee – come and learn what it means and how you can help manage the project via the committee. Real, hands-on work, indispensable to keep the project running smoothly

– Presentations to the community. Developing strong community support for TVW is basic to the TVW framework. TVW will meet the public at Mitchell – Women In Business 22/11 (go to their website for details and tickets) and at Red’s Cafe, Wallan, on 27/11, 9.30am.
And as the ad says…”And there is more!” but I don’t want to take up more of your time here. Come and meet us all at the next committee meeting or event, or contact me Judy Clarke for further information.
cheers for now!!
